What data do we collect?
We store the form title and description which is saved in user properties in your account/sheet and not on any external storage.
For purposes of troubleshooting and error handling, we store the content of your question sheets when you create a form or create multiple forms. The stored data may be used to investigate errors that may occur while running Form Generator. Also for purposes of performance monitoring, support and to aid future development we collect KPIs related to your app usage (such as number of forms created, last usage dates, run time…etc) as well as error logs along with your email. All data is stored in cloud hosted active databases.
Project Auth Scopes
In order for applications to function and perform various tasks using Google Cloud API several scopes need to be authorized. The following scopes are used by Form Generator:
- See and Download all your google drive files
The Add-on uses Google Drive API (which triggers this scope authorization) in order to allow the user to select a file to designate as the destination file to store the responses to the form rather than manually entering the file name or url. Under no circumstances does the Add-on download any files from the user’s google drive.
- See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets
This scope allows the app to access your sheet to create the templates and read the questions as well as write the form links.
- View and manage your forms in Google Drive
Allows the app to add new forms to your Google Drive.
- Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications
This scope allows Form Generator to display the sidebar menu to give you quick access to actions.
- Connect to an external service
- See your primary Google Account email address
To identify the user and share updates regarding the app as well as log, usage and issue tracking.
Data Disclosure
- We may disclose Your Data where such action is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service, protect the personal safety of Users of the Service or the public, or protect against legal liability.
- In the event that a sale of the Service to another party occurs and a transfer of ownership fully or partially then your data will also be transferred to the acquiring party.
